Penang Hill is the highest summit in Penang at 2,730' (830 meters). We took the funicular train which has been in operation since 1922 up the hill, then walked down the other side. The train ride took 30-minutes, with a change of trains in the middle of the hill. The jeep track we walked down was TOO steep for our shins and calves. We had difficulty going downstairs for two days after the walk. A woman near the top of the hill had made these pandanus grasshoppers to sell to the tourists.
